IT support for small companies in Finland
IT support for companies that work in English: email and domains, backups, laptops and user accounts, handled by the hour with no minimum contract, by the founder, who learns your setup once. Work content and price are agreed in writing before anything starts, and every account and admin right is in your company name from day one.
- No minimum contract: you pay only for work done
- Same-day answer on weekdays
- Accounts and admin rights in your company's name from day one
In a small company, IT usually belongs to whoever knows the most about computers, or to nobody. Neither is free: the first costs that person's real work, the second costs you on the day something breaks.
Who this is for
International teams, founders and companies in Finland whose working language is English, plus EU companies that are fine with remote support. The right size for us is roughly one to fifteen people, no server room of your own, and a few IT problems a month rather than a few a day. You always talk to the same person, so you do not explain your setup again every time you call.
Measure the problem before you buy anything
For two weeks, write down the time anyone on your team spends on printers, passwords, email and laptops, and multiply it by what that person's own work is worth. The feeling and the number often disagree. Bring the number to the first call and we will tell you whether hourly work or a monthly agreement is cheaper with your figures.
What we take care of
- Email and domains, including the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that stop other people sending mail in your name.
- Two-step verification for every account and a shared password manager, so a departing employee does not leave with the keys in their head.
- Backups that have actually been restored at least once.
- Laptops, phones and user accounts: setting up new starters and closing the accounts of people who leave.
- Automatic operating system and software updates.
- Upkeep of your website and the business systems around it.
- Help choosing hardware and software. We do not sell either and take no commission, so the advice is independent.
Email is the biggest single risk
The typical loss at a small company is not ransomware. It is an invoice where the bank account number was quietly changed, or a message that looked like it came from the CEO. Both arrive by email, and the same few measures stop both: two-step verification for everyone, a separate account for each person, a rule that any change of bank details is confirmed by phone, and correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC records on your domain. The last one is often skipped even though it is a one-time job of a couple of hours. Without it, anyone can send mail that appears to come from your address. Checking your DMARC record is part of our first review because no other hour of work protects as much.
Backups you have tested
The rule is old and simple: three copies, on two kinds of storage, one of them somewhere else. The third copy is the one usually missing. If everything lives inside one cloud account and that account is taken over or closed, the backups go with it. Ransomware encrypts synced files too. Once a year, pick one file, restore it from backup and time how long it takes. A backup that has never been restored is a hope, not a backup.
How we work
- Free discovery call. Tell us how many people and devices you have and what software you use. We say straight away whether we are a good fit.
- First review. Backups, accounts, updates and email settings, including DMARC. You get a written list of fixes in priority order.
- Written agreement. Work content and price are agreed in writing before work starts. Prices are on the pricing page.
- The work itself. Mostly remote. On site in the Helsinki region when a job needs hands on hardware.
- Everything documented. A one-page record of who has admin rights to what, and notes on what was done and where it lives.
When to buy from someone else
DT Nova is founder-led: the founder does the work himself. That brings four limits, and we would rather name them now than after you sign.
| If you need this | A better choice |
|---|---|
| Round-the-clock standby, nights and weekends | A staffed service desk |
| A service level agreement with penalties | A larger IT services company |
| Dozens of workstations on your own Windows domain | A managed service provider with several technicians |
| A certified audit or ISO requirements | A firm that specializes in audits |
Sometimes you need no ongoing support at all. One or two people with everything in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365: buy one health check and call when something happens. The only pain is one industry system, such as a point of sale: that vendor's support is the right place. The same three questions every week: two hours of training removes them for good.
Hardware and software licenses are never part of support: they are bought separately, in your name. Systems run by another vendor are usually left out of scope and written down as such, so you do not pay two companies for the same thing.
Does NIS2 apply to us?
Probably not. The NIS2 Directive covers specific sectors, such as energy, transport, health, water and digital infrastructure, and mostly medium-sized and larger companies. If you supply a large company or the public sector, requirements can still reach you through your contracts, and then the question is what your customer requires. If someone offers you an NIS2 package, ask which sector and size threshold puts you in scope.
Ownership
Accounts, licenses and admin rights are in your company name from day one. We work with access you grant and can remove at any time. Maintenance can be cancelled with one month's notice, and because nothing is held in our name, leaving takes no negotiation.
Who does the work
DT Nova Tmi, Business ID 3595452-5, Helsinki. The work is done by the founder, Mustafa Tarabya, whose background is in business development and digital transformation. DT Nova has published 22 apps on the App Store (see them on the App Store, counted 25.10.2026). Because the founder does the work himself, if the calendar is full we say so on the first call. More about DT Nova. Planning a bigger change rather than fixing what is broken? That is IT consulting. We also handle website development and software development. Questions we get
Do we need a monthly IT support agreement?
Not necessarily. Many small companies do fine with hourly work when something comes up. A monthly agreement starts to make sense when IT work recurs every week. On the free discovery call we look at your headcount and devices and tell you which model is cheaper for you, and why.
How fast do you respond?
On weekdays the same day, at the latest the next working morning. The phone is answered weekdays 9-20 Finnish time, and a missed call gets a callback the same working day. We do not offer night or weekend standby. If your business cannot wait one night, a provider with round-the-clock cover is the better choice.
Do you come on site?
In the Helsinki region, yes, when the work needs it. Most fixes are done remotely, which is faster because nobody waits for travel. Companies elsewhere in Finland or in other EU countries get remote support. Any travel is agreed in advance and billed only if it actually happens.
Do you sell hardware or software licenses?
No. We help you choose, but we do not resell devices or software and take no commission on anything we recommend. Hardware and licenses are bought in your company name, so the recommendation stays independent and everything you pay for belongs to you from the first day.
Can we order a one-off health check only?
Yes. It is a few hours of work covering backups, accounts, updates and email settings. You get a written list of what to fix and in what order. You can hand that list to anyone, including another provider, and we will not mind. Prices are on the pricing page.
How do we leave if it does not work out?
Maintenance can be cancelled with one month's notice. Accounts and admin rights are already in your company name, so there is nothing to ask back. We also keep a written record of what was done and where everything is, so the next provider can start without needing us.
