DT Nova

Website development for companies in Finland

Website development that starts with one question: what does your customer need to find on the page? We build fast company websites in English, Finnish or both, agree the scope and price in writing before work starts, and register the domain and source code in your company name. Prices are on the pricing page, not hidden behind a quote form.

  • You see the result before it goes live
  • Fixed price for the agreed scope, in writing before work starts
  • Source code, domain and accounts in your company's name

Who this is for

DT Nova is a small company in Helsinki. Our English-language clients are usually one of three kinds:

We meet clients on site in the Helsinki region and work remotely with everyone else.

Static site, CMS or online store

Website, homepage, company site: the name does not change the price. What changes it is the type of site, and buyers often pay for more than they use.

A common pattern: a company pays for a CMS and then updates the site once a year. If you will edit less than once a month, a lighter build is usually enough.

What you get

What drives the price

Not the number of pages: five pages and ten cost almost the same, because the work is in the foundation. Four things move the price: who writes the text, whether you need a custom design or a good template is enough, whether the site connects to another system, and how many people on your side approve the work.

The last one surprises people. Every extra approver tends to add a round of changes. Name one person who decides, and the project stays on schedule and on budget. The number of revision rounds included is written into the scope.

How we work

  1. Free discovery call, about 20 minutes. What you sell, to whom, and what your customer types into Google. We also check whether a small fix to your current site would do the job.
  2. Scope and price in writing. One page: what we build, what we do not, how many revision rounds are included, and the hourly rate for anything after that. The price is fixed for that scope.
  3. Text first, design second. We write the copy by interviewing you. It is the slow part of any website, so it happens before anything is drawn.
  4. Build and checks. Pages, speed, mobile, headings in the source, sitemap, search tool submission. You see the whole site before it goes live.
  5. Launch and handover. Domain in your name, source code to you, logins to you. From that day you can switch suppliers at any time, including away from us.

What is not included

These are priced separately and written into the scope before work starts, so the final invoice holds no surprises:

When you do not need a new website

Your situationWhat may be enough
Every client comes by referral and the calendar is fullYour current site with up to date contact details
The site works but looks datedNew text and a filled-in Google Business Profile
The business is under a year old and the offer is still movingOne page with a clear offer and a phone number

If your site loads fast, says what you do and shows a working phone number, a small fix may beat a rebuild.

Switching from a supplier who holds the keys

A common situation: you want to move, and the old supplier holds the logins. Do it in this order: check whose name the domain is in (for .fi domains, Traficom's public lookup shows the holder), ask for the transfer key in writing, save a copy of your public text and images, and only then end the old contract. In the wrong order, the site can disappear the same day.

Ownership and maintenance

The domain is registered in your company name from the start, and the source code and admin accounts are handed to you. Maintenance is optional. It keeps the site online and working, covers small text edits and backups, and means someone answers when something breaks. New pages and new features are billed by the hour. Maintenance can be cancelled with one month's notice.

The founder, Mustafa Tarabya, takes the first call and is responsible for the work. The founder does the work himself, so if the calendar is full, we say so on the first call. The phone is answered on weekdays from 9 to 20 Finnish time, and missed calls get a callback the same working day.

Questions we get

Who writes the text on the site?

You can write it yourself, or we write it together by interviewing you about what you sell and who buys it. We do not copy competitors and we do not fill pages with generated text. The words decide whether the site sells, so they come before anything is designed.

Who owns the website when it is finished?

Your company does. The domain is registered in your company name from day one, and you get the source code and every admin login at handover. Nothing ties you to us. You can keep us for maintenance, run the site yourself or hand it to someone else.

How long does it take?

A three page site can be live in about two weeks when the text is ready. Waiting for text is almost always the slow part, not the build itself. That is why we write the copy first and agree on a launch date in the written scope.

Will the site show up on Google straight away?

Not straight away. A new site usually takes weeks to months to appear in search, longer for competitive terms, and nobody can honestly promise a ranking by a certain date. What we do promise is the technical groundwork: readable source, a sitemap, and the site submitted to the search tools.

We already have a WordPress site. Do we need a new one?

Maybe not. First we look at what is actually broken. If the problem is speed or search visibility, it can often be fixed in a few hours, and fixing is cheaper than rebuilding. If the site cannot be saved, we tell you that on the call.

Do you build online stores?

Yes. For most small companies a ready-made store platform on a monthly plan is the cheapest and safest choice, and we help set it up. We only recommend a custom built store when a ready platform genuinely cannot do the job. Store prices are on the pricing page.
